In San Diego I came across this huge spider wrapping and drinking lunch. I used a 400 mm lens to catch the action and tried flash on a couple. Need to be viewed large for the detail.
Excellent capture! Good idea using flash, too--look at the saturation you can get in the sky, and the added interest with higher contrast in the shadows. Looks tasty...
So it was a flash that caused the sky to saturate? Wow. Neat technique. Did you have to catch that bug and throw it into the web to get the "props" started? :-)
I started photography in 2006 and have gravitated to wildlife (my favorite) and landscape photography. I shoot with a Canon SLR with L-series lenses. My wife is very understanding and patient with my addiction. I appreciate any comments you can offer as they help me improve greatly! Thanks.
